Mutual Security Credit Union (MSCU) is continuing a long-standing tradition of awarding scholarships to students in the community to help them reach their educational and professional goals.
The Community Service Scholarship is awarded in memory of Berny Klaus and Joseph G. Fernandes, two former MSCU volunteers who selflessly contributed to the community. MSCU is honored to recognize the following graduating high school seniors or full-time undergraduate students who, like our volunteers, have dedicated their time to helping others in their community:
The Larry F. Holderman Scholarship is awarded to employees' children or grandchildren who have demonstrated superior academic performance and have given selflessly in order to improve the overall state of affairs in their community, similar to Larry, who dedicated over 40 years of his life to members and the credit union philosophy. MSCU is honored to recognize our two scholarship recipients:
Both scholarships award each student $1,000 to put towards college tuition and/or expenses. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis to students who strive towards improving their community, are in good academic standing, and have demonstrated financial need. Students and/or parents must be a current member of Mutual Security Credit Union.
Congratulations to all of the award recipients!
