Mutual Security Credit Union (MSCU) is continuing a long-standing tradition of awarding scholarships to students in the community to help them reach their scholastic and professional goals.
Awarded in memory of Berny Klaus and Joseph G. Fernandes, two former MSCU volunteers, who selflessly contributed to the community; MSCU is honored to recognize the following graduating high school seniors or full-time undergraduate students who, like our volunteers, have dedicated their time to helping others in their community:
“It has been a challenging year, especially for students who have had to navigate virtual learning with many extracurricular activities being canceled due to the pandemic,” said CEO Hank Baum. “Despite these challenges, our scholarship recipients demonstrated their commitment to their community and embodied the MSCU values in their actions. We congratulate all applicants and wish them much success in their future endeavors!”
The scholarship awards each student $1,000 to put towards college expenses. Scholarships are awarded annually to students who have given selflessly of themselves to improve their community, are in good academic standing, and have demonstrated financial need. Students and/or parents must be a current member of MSCU.
