2024 MSCU Scholarship Recipients Each Awarded $1,000

SHARE

Mutual Security Credit Union (MSCU) continues a long-standing tradition of awarding scholarships to students in the community to help them reach their educational and professional goals.

The Community Service Scholarship is awarded in memory of Berny Klaus and Joseph G. Fernandes, two former MSCU volunteers who selflessly contributed to the community. MSCU is honored to recognize the following graduating high school seniors or full-time undergraduate students who, like our volunteers, have dedicated their time to helping others in their community:

  • Katarina D. will attend Naugatuck Valley Community College to earn an Associate's Degree in Science/Accounting.
  • Alexis B. will study Neuroscience at Dickinson College and dreams of becoming a Physician.
  • Tessa F. will attend the University of Miami, majoring in Nursing.
  • Valerie E. will attend the University of Connecticut studying Analytics and Information Management.
  • Andrew F. will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) to study Business.
  • Grace L. will be attending Boston College to study education.

This scholarship awards each student $1,000 for college tuition and/or expenses. It is awarded on an annual basis to students who strive to improve their community, are in good academic standing, and have demonstrated financial need. Students and/or parents must be current members of Mutual Security Credit Union.

Congratulations to all of the award recipients!
