Yesterday's Financial Reality Fair hosted at the University of Bridgeport was a huge success! We had a turnout of over 100 local high school students who learned budgeting basics through hand-on exercises.
Members of our staff volunteered their time to walk students through a mock budgeting exercise, where they learned the difference between wants versus needs, the importance of setting aside savings for emergencies and unexpected costs, and managing student debt.
Thank you to all the volunteers and to the students who participated! We had a great time and look forward to the next Financial Reality Fair.
