SHARE

Mutual Security Credit Union (MSCU) is proud to announce that it has been selected by the National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) to receive a grant aimed at deepening the credit union’s understanding of its employees' and members' financial health. MSCU is one of 17 credit unions across the United States chosen for this initiative.

The Foundation's grant program, which totals over $600,000, is designed to elevate credit unions' support for their communities' financial well-being.

MSCU will partner with industry leaders Coopera Consulting and Attune Insights with this funding. MSCU will utilize Coopera Consulting's tools, such as Ethnicity Segmentation Analysis and the Organizational Equity Assessment, to better understand its membership demographics and promote diversity and inclusion. The credit union will also collaborate with Attune Insights to measure the financial health of employees and members, gathering critical data-driven insights.

"We are honored to be selected for this grant," said Hank Baum, President and Chief Executive Officer of MSCU. "This opportunity aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering financial well-being within our community. By understanding our diverse membership's unique financial challenges, we can develop tailored solutions that empower everyone to thrive financially."

This grant program is a testament to the importance of recognizing the role of culture, race, and ethnicity in shaping financial well-being. It also underscores the unwavering commitment of credit unions like MSCU to create inclusive environments where everyone can achieve financial success. MSCU's dedication to this cause is unwavering, and we are excited to see the positive impact of this initiative on our community.
