Gobble & Give 2024 | Making a Difference in Our Community

On November 19th and 20th, MSCU partnered with Smile Dental Center to host the Gobble & Give Fundraiser, a two-day event to support local families in need this holiday season. Proceeds were later delivered to Spooner House and the Valley Food Bank Network.
The giving kicked off with a Silent Auction at our Shelton branch on the 19th, where attendees gathered for an evening of food, music, and charitable giving. Guests enjoyed gourmet bites provided by Fortuna's Catering Co while a local jazz trio created the perfect ambiance.
The two-day event continued on November 20th with the Canned Food and Turkey Drive. From 10 AM to 2 PM, dozens of vehicles pulled up to drop off donations of frozen turkeys and non-perishable food items. The MSCU and Smile Dental Center volunteers, alongside Chaz from 99.1 PLR broadcasting live — greeted donors.
Thanks to the generosity of our members, partners, and neighbors, the Gobble & Give event was a resounding success. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Smile Dental Center, Fortuna's Catering Co, our incredible volunteers, and all who made this event impactful. Here’s to building stronger communities, one act of kindness at a time!
