The History of ICU Day

International Credit Union (ICU) Day® has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. It’s a day that celebrates the powerful history of the credit union movement, as well as its unique spirit and philosophy. ICU Day 2024 will be celebrated on Thursday, October 17. 

One World

This year, the theme of ICU Day is One World Through Cooperative Finance.

The theme highlights the way credit unions bring people together through democratic, member-owned financial institutions that put people before profit.

2. Open an account at the credit union for your child or grandchild.
3. Thank a credit union representative!
4. Enter a social media contest hosted by your credit union.
