MSCU Announcement: Jeffrey Tracey has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer/Senior Vice President
Mutual Security Credit Union (MSCU) is pleased to announce Jeffrey Tracey's promotion to Chief Operating Officer/Senior Vice President. Jeff, a valued team member for over 17 years, strongly advocates collaboration and teamwork. He attributes his success not only to his efforts but also to the collective dedication of his colleagues and their shared commitment to MSCU’s mission.
Throughout his career at MSCU, Jeff has worked alongside dedicated teams to drive innovation and operational excellence. Starting as a Member Service Representative in 2007, Jeff quickly advanced into leadership roles within the lending department. His expertise in operational strategy, financial management, and process optimization has been vital to MSCU's success, driving efficiency and fostering collaboration for continued growth.
Jeff has been a critical driver of impactful initiatives at MSCU, reflecting the credit union's deep commitment to serving its members. In 2013, he launched MSCU’s ITIN Lending Program, broadening financial access to underserved communities and originating over $47 million in loans to date. His leadership also extended to developing MSCU’s green lending program in collaboration with the Connecticut Green Bank, providing affordable financing for energy-efficient home improvements. Additionally, Jeff worked closely with colleagues to develop and launch MSCU’s Progressive Home Mortgage. These efforts have provided affordable solutions that make homeownership more accessible, empowering members to build financial stability and invest in their future.
Jeff’s dedication to community engagement is showcased through his leadership with Valley United Way, where he served on the Board of Directors and the DEI Committee, championing inclusivity and equity. In addition, as International President of the NCACI Youth Ministry, Jeff focused on youth empowerment and leadership development. His work as Missions Coordinator at the Apostolic Worship Center involved collaborating with MSCU to organize the Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, serving over 200 families annually. As an alumnus of the University of Bridgeport, Jeff also forged a partnership with the university, aligning MSCU’s Financial Independence Training program to enhance financial literacy for UB students and high schoolers across Western Connecticut. His dedication to these initiatives highlights his unwavering commitment to community upliftment and impactful change.
